Mygreat Remodeler
Mygreat Technologies has developed the Mygreat Remodeler, a utility that will migrate a Synon (Synon/2E, COOL:2E now Advantage 2E) application model into a LANSA partition. Mygreat Remodeler enables an entire Synon data model, function action diagrams, and panel definitions to be migrated into LANSA using an automated approach that greatly reduces the time, effort, and cost to deliver a 5250, browser, Windows or multi-platform LANSA solution.
There are 3 levels of migration that Mygreat can provide:
Level 1: Synon Data Dictionary - LANSA Repository Migration
All aspects of the Synon Data Dictionary will be migrated into the repository. No functions will be transformed. This offers a more complete import than the LANSA facility to load other files and allows immediate access to legacy data for new LANSA-based Web or Windows extensions.
Level 2: User Exit Point Logic Only
In addition to level 1, Synon User's Exit Point Logic can be translated to LANSA RDML functions. This allows Copy/Paste capabilities into new Web or Client Server functions, preserving years of Synon development efforts.
Level 3: Full Synon Functionality
In addition to level 1 and 2, Synon users can migrate nearly all application functionality. Each of the 20 Synon function types is templated with appropriate exit points, capturing the original Synon User's logic. Intended for the new LANSA User who needs to maintain 5250 applications, but desires to replace their Synon development environment with LANSA.
