Developing eBusiness Solutions

eBusinessElectronic business (eBusiness) lets organizations connect their internal and external data processing systems together a) to better satisfy the needs and expectations of consumers and b) to trade more efficiently and flexibly with suppliers and partners. eBusiness goes way beyond simple Web enablement and is the conduit for conducting online transactions (eCommerce).

eBusiness involves business processes spanning the entire value chain: electronic purchasing and supply chain management, processing orders electronically, handling customer service and cooperating with business partners.

A number of standards have been developed for eBusiness to facilitate the exchange of product item data between companies, many of which are governed by GS1, a leading organization dedicated to the design and implementation of global standards and solutions to improve the efficiency and visibility of supply and demand chains. LANSA is an active member of GS1 member organizations throughout the world.

In addition to developing LANSA based eCommerce applications from the ground up, LANSA's customers have access to a broad range of eCommerce solutions that are designed to help grow business relationships with customers and trading partners online. Built using the LANSA application development platform, and adhering to industry standards, these solutions span Application-to-Application (A2A), Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C). Packaged as ready-to-run templates, they address eCommerce and B2B needs including supply-side and demand-side automation, GDSN, AS2 and EDI compliance.
