There is a built-in function available for use within LANSA for Windows called SYSTEM_COMMAND. This built-in function allows the execution of an operating system command on the Windows platform. Sometimes when using the built-in function errors will be generated. These errors will have particular return codes which are external to LANSA. This issue includes an extensive list of the possible error return codes when running the SYSTEM_COMMAND built-in function and their meanings.
Keep in mind that LANSA is not responsible for any difficulties that may arise while using this built-in function as it uses external operating system dependencies. This document is provided purely as aid to problem troubleshooting.
