An issue has been found where the LANSA Visual XML Wizard hangs when running under Windows XP. The problem relates to an existing problem with Java 1.4.1 (this problem is fixed in version 1.4.1_02) with DirectDraw and ATI graphic cards. LANSA recommends circumventing this issue in one of two ways.
- ATI have posted new drivers on their site that fix the problem.
- Alternatively, as a workaround, you can specify -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true when starting your VM. javaw.exe -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true com.lansa.jsf.wizard.JSFWizard. DirectDraw will be disabled so there will be a degregation in UI performance, however, this will stop the system from hanging or crashing.
