It is possible to get into the position where the Repository, Favorites, Details, and Outline Tabs are in a hidden position or in a position that makes it impossible for the user to adjust the tab manually.
When in this state the experienced behavior is where clicking the tab takes up the whole screen, and when the cursor moves off the tab it hides again. The sizing is such that the tab extends off the right hand side of the screen. In such a condition, the tab cannot be resized and therefore the pushpin, to change state (including the “x” to close the window) cannot be seen as they are also off the screen.
You are able to re-set the screens within the IDE by doing the following:
- Go to Options, Settings, and press the Reset All button, this will revert the IDE back to the shipped state; all windows, repository lists etc.
You may also want to use this solution for other related issues or to simply re-set the IDE back to its shipped state.
