Can I enable support for Cp037 on Windows JSM?

Date:28 April 2009
Product/Release:LANSA Integrator - All Versions
Abstract:How to enable support for Cp037 to avoid UnsupportedEncodingException errors
Submitted By:LANSA Technical Support

Description:

When running LANSA Integrators JSM Services, you may encounter issues/errors in JSM regarding support for certain encodings, such as Cp037, as per

stack trace: java.io.UnsupportedEncodingException: Cp037
at java.lang.StringCoding.decode(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.String.<init>(Unknown Source)

Solution:

One possible reason is that the correct version of Java has not been installed. Installing the International version of Java on your Windows machine, which contains all the supported encodings/codepages, may resolve such encoding issues.

Refer to the Java documentation for further information regarding Internationalization and Setting the Java Virtual Machine Locale.
