After applying EPC845, using host
monitor will show 'Connect to LANSA
System' prompt and connection will fail |

Issue:
After applying EPC845 to LANSA V11 SP5, you may experience a
situation whereby starting the host monitor or performing an
checkin or checkout will show the 'Connect to LANSA System'
screen. However, even if you put in the correct connection
information for user and password, the connection will fail.
This can occur if you run a system initialization with the
Remote System in a different case to the LU Name defined as a
host in the LANSA Communications Administrator.
For example, if you had a host defined in the LANSA
Communications Administrator with DCXPGMLIB (uppercase) as the
Partner LU Name and you performed a system initialization (after
applying EPC845) using the Remote System dcxpgmlib (lowercase),
then you would generate the connect to master LANSA system
dialog and subsequent connection failure.
Solution:
This is scheduled to be fixed in the next V11 SP5 EPC. In the
meantime, there are 2 ways of resolving the issue
- Create new host in the LANSA Communications administrator
with a Partner LU Name that matches the case of the
Remote System shown in the Connect to LANSA System
dialog.
- Perform a system init and specify the remote host in the
same case as the LU Name defined for this host in the LANSA
Communications Administrator.
