For the sake of security and to allow control over the database, a developer creating the first table in a new partition must have the same rights as the LANSA_SCHEMA_CREATOR role. Ideally, they would have been assigned with that role.
This is related to the Oracle database; developers without the LANSA_SCHEMA_CREATOR rights cannot create new collections, so the database administrator has more control over the database.
Small development teams may wish to assign the LANSA_SCHEMA_CREATOR role to all developers, as database management might not be as difficult or as important in these cases.
