Abstract:How to find out what EPC level a run-time Visual LANSA application is on?
Submitted By:LANSA Technical Support

In a development environment it is quite easy to check for the EPC level, you can go to the development tool bar -> Help -> Product Information, there is a button to show what EPCs have been applied to the Visual LANSA development system.

Question:

Where can I check for the EPC level that my Visual LANSA application is at during run-time?

Answer:

For Visual LANSA v10, there are 3 places to check:

  1. In the LANSA root directory there is an EPC.DAT file.
  2. In the directory called EPC under the LANSA root directory there is also a EPC.DAT file.
  3. In the Packages directory under folder EPC:

    e.g. C:\<my application>\X_WIN95\X_LANSA\X_PKGS\X_BOOT\2560\EPC
will list all the EPC deployed with this application (when the Deploy with EPCs option is selected in the Deployment Tool).

For Visual LANSA version 9.1, there are 2 places to check:

  1. In the directory called EPC under the LANSA root directory there is an EPCLPC.DAT file.
  2. In the Packages directory under folder EPC:

    e.g. C:\Internal_Systems\X_WIN95\X_LANSA\X_PKGS\X_BOOT\2208\EPC
will list all the EPC deployed with this application (when the Deploy with EPCs option is selected in the Deployment Tool).
