Description:
You may be asked to clear the browser cache before providing
Technical Support with tracing information. For example, an essential step prior running a Fiddler trace.
Clearing the browser cache is highly recommended to maintain
the integrity between requested content by users and the page
received from the web server. It is recommended this action be
performed when new versions of web applications have been
upgraded or downloaded.
IE8 introduces a new option, Preserve Favorites website data,
that may cause this brower's cache not be cleared and will cause
user confusion.
Typically the website you are working with will be in the favorites list.
If the Preserve Favorites website data option shown below is left checked then the cache all the
favourite web sites will not be cleared.

Solution:
In IE8, uncheck Preserve Favorites website data
and select all other options to completely clear your browser
cache.
