1. Licensing Instructions for Independent LANSA Integrator installations (no Base LANSA) - IBM i

In V14, the license binary file now has a .lic extension

Applying standalone LANSA Integrator licences on an IBM i

1. Call the JSMSUPP program.

  1. Use a library qualified program call.

  2. The JSMSUPP program determines the library from the CALL command.

  3. The JSMSUPP program determines the JSM instance directory from the JSMMGRDTA data area.

  4. The path of the licence file is created using the following format.

    'JSM instance directory' + '/system/' + 'x_lic_{MODEL}_{SERIAL}'

  5. The input XML file needs to an absolute path.

Note: It is recommended to put the input XML file in the JSM system directory along with the generated licence file.

  6. The CALL needs to be submitted, so a spool file report is created.

Note: The 'Apply' command is Case-Sensitive and needs to be specified exactly as listed in this document.

    SBMJOB CMD(CALL PGM(<jsm library>/JSMSUPP) PARM('Apply' '/LANSA_<jsm library>/jsm/instance/system/x_lic_E4A_063FD44_0_0000077819.xml')) JOB(APPLYLIC)
    IBM i command line
  7. Use the WRKSPLF command to view the report.
    Work with Job Spooled Files
Reminder: If LANSA Integrator is part of a base LANSA install, you should apply the license as per Applying a LANSA license to V14. If you use the JSMSUPP and the '/system/' licence file does not exist, then the licences will be applied to the LANSA licence file.
