Targeted for designers and business analysts, this course shows via LANSA Composer, a graphical, drag-and-drop environment how to automate and integrate business processes with external trading partners or between internal applications. The course will demonstrate how users can compose business processes consisting of combinations of standard transport, transformations and other Activities to make use of core LANSA Integrator services, without the necessity to write program code.

Duration: 2 Days
Prerequisites: Some awareness and understanding of the challenges, technologies and issues involved in Business Process Integration and an ability to apply basic logical principles to the design of the solutions. Building custom activities, if covered, will use basic LANSA development techniques.
Audience: Developers, analysts, business analysts with a basic understanding of how data is represented, stored, transferred and transformed in IT systems and the fundamental logical constructs necessary for doing so.
Aim: To train users how to rapidly automate and integrate business processes using LANSA Composer.
Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand how to set up processing sequences to exchange business information and transactions in common and agreed formats with trading partners, internal business units and other business applications
  • Use the Altova MapForce® Mapping Tool incorporated in LANSA Composer to set up transformation maps as necessary to transform business information between XML, text and database formats
  • Wrap business logic as Activities and combine them with industry standard transformation and transport services in a single business process
