This course provides an introduction to the LANSA Integrator technologies using the Visual LANSA or LANSA for i development environment. This course is designed to train experienced LANSA developers how to create A2A- and B2B-type applications using LANSA Integrator. Developers learn how to exchange data between platforms using tools such as Studio, the Visual XML Wizard or the XML Binding Wizard, SOAP Wizard. The course introduces the Java Service Manager and the required LANSA Built-in Functions to effectively build both client and server functions. Developers require no knowledge of Java or XML in order to complete this course. A very basic introduction to XML and XSL is included in the course. For detailed XML and XSL training, please use other resources.

Duration: 3 Days
Prerequisites: LANSA Sites: LANSA Fundamentals Workshop Developers must know how to code LANSA RDML functions. Neither XML nor Java programming knowledge is required.

RPG Sites: No prerequisites required.
Audience: Experienced LANSA Developers
Aim: To train programmers how to use the LANSA Integrator services for data exchange.
Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Execute applications using the Java Service Manager
  • Use the Visual XML Wizard to create style sheets necessary for data exchange functions
  • Create client-side and server-side functions required for 2-way XML applications
  • Identify and use the JSM Application Templates to rapidly create JSM functions
  • Learn how to configure and manage the JSM environment using Integrator Studio
  • Understand web services technology and how to build both agent and server side web services.
