LANSA Integrator will not start on the iSeries
|Product/Release:||LANSA Integrator V10.0|
|Abstract:||LANSA Integrator will not start on the iSeries because it cannot establish a socket connection|
|Submitted By:||LANSA Technical Support|
An issue has been found where LANSA Integrator will not start on the iSeries. With tracing on, LANSA Integrator will almost get to the end of a normal trace but will not be able to establish a socket connection.
Note: To see if this could be the problem, use a port scanner socket program to test if a socket connection can be made outside of LANSA Integrator. Download Java Port Scanner (Zip 2KB)
There is a service program provided by IBM called QSYS2/NET which is a place holder connecting the Unix world to the iSeries world which can become corrupted.
The solution is to save this object QSYS2/NET to a savefile and then restore it.
This corrects the problem.
